Junior Finance Controller

The Junior Controller will play a crucial role in supporting our financial decision-making process. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this position involves assisting with the preparation of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and various financial projects. This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented and looking to grow their career in finance within the FMCG sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Support the development and implementation of budgeting and financial forecasting processes.
• Cost Analysis: Perform variance analysis to understand the difference between projected and actual figures, identifying the causes of discrepancies.
• Internal Controls: Help maintain robust internal controls to ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
• Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring that all financial data is accurately represented and in compliance with accounting standards.
• Financial Projects: Participate in special financial projects, including process improvements and the implementation of new financial software tools.
• Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with other departments to gather information and explain financial data and trends.
• Compliance: Ensure that financial practices are in line with legal guidelines and internal policies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting or finance in the FMCG industry or a related field.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, capable of working well in a team.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
